Our Programs
Sundays 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Sunday School (9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.) consists of Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments and the lives of people and circumstances surrounding them. God's love for the world, his creation and humanity is discussed. Emphasis is on the life of Christ, His Love for all people and forgiveness of sin only through Jesus' mercy and His grace.
Discipleship Training (5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.) consists of two areas.
The first area for children four years through second grade. This class hears bible stories, answers questions about the stories and usually has a craft or coloring time about the subject discussed.
The second area is for children in third through sixth grade. Children learn about characters from the Bible, Jesus' love and grace as well as every day situations. These situations may concern family life, honesty, love, forgiveness, fairness and other important life situations.
A meal is served each Sunday night between class time and the evening service.
Children's Church (10:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) is for children age four through seven. This is an interactive time for the children with music, skits, crafts and a short lesson. All activities are used to reinforce the lesson's theme. We also attempt to teach the children behavior expected of them in "Big" church, while allowing them to have fun.
AWANA (Wednesday 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) The program is designed for children age four through sixth grade. AWANA meetings consist of a time of music, flag pledges, award time, games and council time for older children. Everyone will learn Bible scripture with their leaders in classes designed for their age group. Younger children have a story time where they learn about Jesus and His love. Our greatest desire in AWANA is to lead children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The children earn vests, shirts, badges, stickers, and prizes based on their verse memorization. Children also earn AWANA BUCKS they can redeem for prizes. We have a list of toys, games, etc. from which to choose. We have a blast in game time running, jumping and dodging. We encourage all children to play, but participation is not mandatory. They can just cheer for their team!
